A violent home invasion occurs on the North Side

There was a home invasion in Pittsburgh’s North Side Wednesday morning that resulted in two men being shot. According to KDKA, police say the incident happened inside an apartment in the Allegheny Commons on East Ohio Street.

Three African American men broke into an apartment with six people inside. This caused a physical altercation between the men who broke in and a few men inside the home. A 24-year-old man had been pistol-whipped and two other men were shot.

Police found a 32-year-old man suffering from two gunshot wounds. Another 28-year-old man was also shot. He took himself to Allegheny General Hospital.

It is believed all the victims are recovering or have been released from the hospital at this point.
