Former democratic presidential hopeful, Bernie Sanders campaigned for Pennsylvania Democratic Senate candidate, Katie McGinty, on Friday in Pittsburgh.
Sanders joined McGinty at a rally in Carnegie Mellon University’s gymnasium to show his support for democrats.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Senator Sanders said that, “If our country is to move forward, we need Democratic control over the U.S. Senate. We must end Republican obstructionism and elect a Senate which works for all, and not just the people on top. Katie McGinty will be an extremely welcome progressive voice in the United States Senate.”
Saturday, Senator Sanders will be speaking in Ohio in support of democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, according to http://www.hillaryspeeches.com.
