Blind man struck by PAT bus

A Port Authority bus hit a blind man in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood Tuesday night.

WPXI was first on the scene and is reporting the accident happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.

Port Authority spokesman Adam Brandolph said the victim got caught on the rear bumper of the bus while getting off at his stop.

The victim was struck by the side of the bus. He was rushed to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Other than obvious cuts to his face, the man’s condition is not fully known.
