A witness walking near ATI in Brackenridge called 911 early Tuesday morning after he spotted a body floating in the river at 10 a.m. This came following a search all day Monday failed to discover the men.
Upon receiving the 911 call, officials sent out a boat and divers to retrieve the body.
Steve’s wife, Margaret Sieminski, initially reported her husband and son were missing around 4 p.m. Monday evening. She told police she had tried to get in contact with her husband but his phone kept ringing and sending her to voicemail.
Channel 11 spoke with Patty Huckabaa about the accident that took the life of her brother and nephew.
“It’s a nightmare,” Huckabaa said. “He has a wife and a daughter. They would never just disappear.”
