Carjacking at Pittsburgh International Airport

An SUV was carjacked at Pittsburgh International Airport around 1:15 a.m. Friday morning.

An SUV with four people inside arrived at the airport to pick up two more people. Upon arrival, the driver got out of the car and opened the back hatch. Once the hatch was opened, two people rolled out. One person from the hatch had a gun and the pair forced all the passengers out of the SUV. The carjackers then got in the SUV and drove off.

The SUV is a red Hyundai Santa Fe with Pennsylvania registration JLY-3519.

Police are currently searching for the SUV.

None of the victims, who are all from Carrick, were injured.

The actors are described as a white male, approximately 5’5”, thin build, wearing black pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The other is a black male, approximately 5’10’, wearing , black shorts with a white stripe, black shirt and black shoes. Anyone who sees the suspects is asked to call 911 immediately and anyone with additional information is asked to call Allegheny County Police at 412-473-3000.
