"Day of Rage" threatens Pittsburgh

The “Friday of Solidarity” protest has been called for by an anonymous source in cooperation with “Black Lives Matter” organizations across the country.

“A group claiming to be Anonymous is billing the DC demonstration as being part of a ‘collective day of rage’ and ‘day of solidarity,’ with 36 other protests taking place in major cities across the country on Friday night, including one in Manhattan’s Times Square.” the New York Post reports.

A “Black Lives Matter” protest is anticipated to be a peaceful event in the city today, but authorities are committed to being prepared for anything.

Pittsburgh Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich told KDKA-TV:

“We are in close contact with the FBI, almost up to the point of an hourly update. We are monitoring the intelligence along with our federal partners,”
