A jury was unable to reach a verdict Wednesday following the second day of deliberations in the case against a mother accused of killing her 3-year-old daughter.
27-year-old Adrienne Williams is charged with homicide in the death of her daughter, Adrionna Williams. She is also accused of disposing of the girl’s body.

The jury spent six hours deliberating after closing arguments were presented on Tuesday. Deliberations resumed Wednesday morning, at one point asking for the definitions of reasonable doubt, circumstantial evidence and premeditation.
According to WPXI, Allegheny County detectives had testified that they found Adrionna’s body in a Swissvale ravine in June 2015. They said she was found in a pile of dirt, with a few scratches and bloodshot eyes as the only visible trauma to her body.
The defense had the opportunity to make its case on Tuesday, but attorneys did not call any witnesses and Williams did not testify.
Deliberations will resume Thursday morning.
