Pennsylvania’s delegation at the Republican National Convention has voted nearly unanimously for Donald Trump. 70 of Pennsylvania’s 71 delegate votes went for Donald Trump to be the 2016 presidential nominee of the Republican Party.
The only Pennsylvania delegate vote that did not go to Trump went to Texas Senator Ted Cruz. This lone vote was from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Based on his April primary win, 17 of the 71 delegate votes were automatically awarded to Trump. Despite this fact and all of the other Republican candidates having dropped out of the race, the other 54 votes in Pennsylvania were not forced to vote Trump’s way.
While not official, 45 of the 54 open delegate votes did pledge their allegiance to Trump’s campaign prior to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
