Health Department seeks public opinion on potential e-cigarette regulations

The Allegheny County Health Department has drafted a bill to regulate the smoking of electronic cigarettes and is seeking the public’s opinion.

The proposed regulations include the prohibition of the use of e-cigarettes indoors and in public places.

The Board of Health is holding a public hearing on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Allegheny County Courthouse. Testimony on the proposed e-cigarette regulations will be taken in the Gold Room on the fourth floor.

The health department advises all attending parties that testimony will be limited to three minutes, and a written copy of comments should be transcribed and submitted.
