Hoodies ban at Penn Hills schools

Penn Hills, PA – WPXI reports Penn Hills School District has decided to not let its students wear hoodies any longer. Every school in the Penn Hills School District, Pre-K all the way to high school, will be included in the ban.

According to the district, this is due to safety concerns and a belief hoodies can disrupt the education process.

Students who violate the new dress code will be forced to take the hoodie off and place it in a backpack or locker, as well as, face further discipline.

There is a post on the district’s website with the new dress code that will go into action for the 2016-2017 school year.
