Her perjury and obstruction of justice trial comes a year after she was indicted over the 2014 leak to a Philadelphia newspaper. Prosecutors claim this exposed details of a 2009 investigation into a civil rights leader.
Kane, a Democrat, continues to express she feels she did nothing wrong and has even gone as far to argue these charges are revenge for her crusade to root out judges, lawyers and others who traded racist, sexist and pornographic emails.

She did not run for re-election.
These jurors of six men and six women were the result of 100 potential jurors being questioned by lawyers behind closed doors Monday at the suburban Philadelphia courthouse. The trial of Kathleen Kane is expected to last about a week.
