An Export man is facing charges after he was accused of sexually abusing a boy he met at church camp.
The alleged victim’s parents showed police sexual messages found on his cellphone in September of 2015.
The alleged victim, 13, told police he met Ronald Kingsley Hazen, 21, at church camp nearly five years earlier and admitted to a relationship.
WPXI reports the two had no contact after the camp until August of 2015. Hazen apparently sent the alleged victim a friend request, starting online conversations.
The alleged victim reportedly told police Hazen picked him up multiple times over a two week period and engage in sex acts.
The alleged victim said Hazen sent an explicit picture of himself to the victim.
WPXI reports that Hazen didn’t want to comment.
Hazen is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of minors.
Westmoreland County detectives have not responded to TribLIVE in attempts to find out why it took a year to charge Hazen.
