Man shot, drives to McDonald's for help

A man was taken to the hospital Friday after being shot and drove to a McDonald’s for help, police say.

Officers said they received a call for reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Rochelle Street.

The victim was shot twice on Rochelle Street and went to a McDonald’s in the 600 block of Brownsville Road.

According to police, the victim struck a sedan and then rear-ended a pickup truck in the parking lot. The drivers of the sedan and truck were both evaluated by paramedics at the scene. It was not clear whether they suffered any serious injuries.

The victim is in critical condition.
