Man who tried to flush suspected heroin down toilet arrested

The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office said a man was arrested Monday after he attempted to flush heroin down a toilet when deputies arrived to serve a warrant at a home in Hempfield Township.

Charges were previously filed against Timothy King in connection to an incident which he and three other people were reportedly found in a hotel room containing 22 stamp bags, cash and pills

According to WPXI, deputies were attempting to serve the warrants when they saw King outside a home on Hunter Road.  Officials said King tried to run through the house, but deputies arrested him as he tried to run out a back door.

Deputies found 97 bags of suspected heroin in the toilet, more than $300 in cash, a crack pipe, seven needles and a box of over 50 used stamp bags.

The sheriff’s office told WPXI King admitted that he attempted to flush the items.

King is also charged with attempting to destroy evidence, flight, manufacture controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
