The mother, Alexis Raymond, told reporters her instincts when she realized her house was on fire.
“My first instinct was to grab my kids and get out,” Raymond said. Raymond’s children were both girls, ages 3 and 5.
A neighbor knocked on Raymond’s door, alerting her of the fire. This allowed Raymond enough time to gather her kids and escape.
The house next door to the Raymond’s sustained smoke damage.
No one had any injuries.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
