Multiple neighbors tried to help the family, one by calling to alert them of the fire and wake them up and the other assisting the young children, ages 5 and 8, off the porch.
Firefighters arrived to Cliff Street at about 6:30 a.m. They rescued the mother after she passed out following the jump.
Mother and children were all taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
