New Miss USA says healthcare "is a privilege"

The new Miss USA, Kára McCullough, is getting slammed for her conservative comments.

McCullough was crowned Sunday night by former Miss USA, Deshauna Barber. Both ladies, represent the District of Columbia, which is rare, but it was McCullough’s comments on healthcare that got people’s attention.

Co-host, Julianne Hough posed the controversial question to McCoullough. “Do you think affordable healthcare for all U.S. citizens is a right or a privilege and why?”

“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege. As a government employee, I’m granted health care and I see firsthand that for one to have health care, you need to have jobs.”

McCoullough’s response received some backlash.

Although some people agreed and applauded her answer.
