Passenger in deadly Bethel Park crash testifies against driver

The passenger in a car accident that killed a 16-year-old South Park High School Student testified in court against the 18-year-old driver.  They said he drank six beers the night he drove, reports WPXI.

Christopher Beck is facing several charges, including DUI and homicide by vehicle.  The charges are in connection to an accident the resulted in the death of Shane Phillips.

According to WPXI, another friend who was in the car testified that Beck had a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer can in his hand when he picked him up.  The friend added that Beck was calling out his speed, reaching up to 90 miles per an hour.

Beck crashed into two trees on Stoltz Road in May. Phillips died instantly.

WPXI reports the friend told the judge that Beck took a case of beer out of the trunk and dumped it after the crash before police arrived.
