The outbound lanes of the Parkway East were closed early Friday morning after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car.
According to WPXI, a person was hit and killed near the Squirrel Hill exit shortly after 1 a.m.

Following the incident, all outbound lanes were closed while the body was being removed. A medical examiner will examine the body to determine if the person may have been intoxicated.
No name or details about the victim or driver of the car have been released.
As of 5:30 a.m., the outbound lanes were open.
