A mother and son caught an odd-looking fish in North Park Lake on Tuesday.

Parks Director Andrew Baechl and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, confirm that the fish is a Red-bellied Piranha.
Director Baechl, believes the fish may have been a pet and was dumped in the lake.
The fish escaped back into the lake after attempts to remove the hook from its’ mouth.
If the Piranha is caught, Allegheny County urges citizens to notify the Allegheny County Parks Department at 412-350-2460 or the North Park Office on Pearce Mill Road at 724-935-1766.
