Pittsburgh Police say they have arrested a man who allegedly attempted to rob a Point Breeze home. Officers responded to the call early Monday morning in the 6900-block of Claridge Place. Shortly after, a man matching the description given by the victim was seen on foot in Homewood.
When an officer confronted the man, police say he dropped a bag and fled. He was quickly apprehended with the help of a K-9.
Police say he gave the arresting officers a false identity, but was later identified as Harry Carter.
The bag he dropped contained two black leather gloves, a flashlight, a crowbar and a screwdriver.
