Police: Fake job applicants burglarize businesses

Police investigate a theft case in which fake job applicants return to businesses to rob them.

Investigators told WPXI men go to businesses in Washington County, ask for job applications, case the business while inside, then return to burglarize the business and steal company checks. The suspects then cash the checks using forged signatures of company officials, which they likely obtained from other documents in the business.

Two businesses reportedly have been burglarized in North Strabane and two more in North Fayette.  The thefts have totaled $40,000, reports WPXI.

The North Strabane Police Department has issued warrants for three suspects and said there are a total of four men who are part of the scheme.

The suspects have been identified are Baudel Graciano, Manuel Lucero and Juan Melguza.
