Police find one dog dead & several other animals in poor condition in Oil City home

A landlord reportedly entered a residence to turn off the water, when he discovered several emaciated animals and a foul odor.

Oil City police responded to that abandoned animal report and arrived at 35 Glenview Avenue at around 3:54 p.m. last Thursday.

Upon arriving at the scene, the landlord of the property was awaiting police.

According to http://explorevenango.com, the criminal complaint read that the landlord needed to get into the couple’s home to shut the water off, and when he entered the residence, he noticed a strong odor and discovered four dogs and three cats living who appeared to be in terrible condition. Another dog was found dead in a locked bedroom on the second floor.

The Venango County Animal Rescue Team took the animals into their care and transported them to Franklin Animal Clinic for treatment, reports ExploreVenango.com.

40-year-old Terry Shane Bressette, of Sharon, Pa., and 30-year-old Amanda Bressette, of Union City., are facing eight counts of first-degree misdemeanor cruelty to animals charges.

The Brassette’s are both awaiting preliminary hearings.
