Police are searching for a suspect that allegedly took an item from a local store after showing his firearm to the cashier.
The incident happened at the Walgreens at 7628 Penn Avenue in Point Breeze at about 10:35 p.m. on Thursday.
According to Pittsburgh police,”a black male entered the store and soon after approached the counter with a pound of packaged bacon. The cashier scanned the item and the actor dug around in his pockets for money. The actor then informed the cashier that he did not have enough cash on him to make the purchase, and asked if he could take the bacon and return the next day with money. When the cashier refused, the actor pulled a firearm from his pocket and shifted it to his other pocket. At that point, the cashier paid for the bacon and the actor left the store.”
The man is reportedly between 27 and 33 years-old, 5’11”, 175 pounds with a short afro. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
