Police search for robbery suspects, one caught by K-9

One of three suspects connected to a robbery of a pizza delivery driver was arrested after a K-9 was used to catch him.

Police say three men demanded money from the deliveryman coming out of Mamma Mia Pizzeria on East Carson Street on Pittsburgh’s South Side about 12:30 a.m.

The deliveryman was punched in the stomach by one of the men and another exposed a gun in his waistband, according to police.  They grabbed the food order from the deliveryman as an officer was approaching.

Two of the suspects were found near South 9th and East Carson streets by officers, reports WPXI.  A K-9 was deployed when the men started to run.

The K-9 caught up to one of the men, 20-year-old Duane Colemanon, Selby Way and bit him before he was taken into custody.

A warrant was out for his arrest in Westmoreland County.

The two other men responsible for the robbery were not found.
