The Rachel Carson bridge will serve as a detour with convenient access to I-279 and Route 28.

Public Works reminds drivers that the Robert Clemente Bridge can also be used as a detour, however, it will still be closed during all Pirates games.

According to KDKA-TV, the Rachel Carson and Roberto Clemente bridges are up next. Construction on those bridges may take about two years, and the complete rehabilitation of the sister bridges is expected to conclude in 2021.
