Teen struck by car in Tarentum after playing 'Pokemon Go'

A teenager was struck by a car Tuesday after playing the “Pokemon Go” game.

Tracy Nolan told WPXI that her daughter, Autumn Diesroth, was hit near the intersection of Ross Street and East Ninth Avenue around 5:30 p.m.

Nolan says the the accident happened when her daughter finished playing the game and was attempting to cross the street.

“The Pokemon game took her across a major highway at 5 o’clock in the evening, which is rush hour,” Nolan said.

Autumn was taken to the hospital with a collarbone injury, a foot injury and several cuts and bruises.

Nolan advises parents to stop their kids from playing the Pokemon catching game.

“I really thought I was losing my daughter,“ Nolan said

Nolan says the driver of car that hit her daughter stopped and held Autumn’s hand until she was taken to the hospital.
