Two arrested in carjacking

Pittsburgh Police say they’ve made two arrested in a carjacking Wednesday Night. Zone 1 units were called to the 2500 block of North Charles Street in Perry South for a carjacking around 10 p.m.

A 47-year-old woman told police two men had asked her for a ride. She refused, and the actors allegedly pulled a gun, demanding her car keys. She complied, fled and called 9-1-1.

The actors were unable to get the car to start and fled on foot. Kerrell Lee, 18 of the Hill District and Derrick Lewis, 15, of Northview Heights were apprehended and arrested.


Lee is facing multiple charges.



Lewis is being charges as an adult. He allegedly resisted arrest and attempted to kick the officers.

They were both taken to Allegheny County Jail.
