A fatal car accident results in the death of two young men.
According to KDKA-TV, the crash happened on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at about 10:30 p.m. on Connellsville Street in North Union Township.
Driver, Derek Kemp, 19, and passenger, Robert Walker, 20, did not survive the collision.
“State police say 19-year-old Derek Kemp, of West Leisenring, was driving southbound on Connellsville Street at a high rate of speed. Twenty-year-old Robert A. Walker III, of Uniontown, was a passenger in his car. Another vehicle was approaching their car in the opposite lane. According to state police, Kemp overcompensated while going around a curve and crossed the center line, entering the opposite lane. The other vehicle swerved in an attempt to avoid being hit, but Kemp struck the vehicle head on,” KDKA-TV reports.
According to police, a 24-year-old female and a 24-year-old male who occupied the other vehicle, were seriously injured and transported to local hospitals
