Whole Foods opening new Pittsburgh store

A new grocery store is preparing to set up shop in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood.

Whole Foods Market prepares to open another store in the East Liberty Marketplace shopping center at Penn Avenue and South Euclid Avenue.

The status of the existing store on Centre Avenue is unclear.  It was the first Whole Foods location in Pittsburgh.

“No decisions have been made at this point regarding the existing location, but we’re excited to expanding in the market,” spokeswoman Annie Cull told WTAE.

A Whole Foods store is also on Perry Highway in McCandless, and one under construction on Washington Road in Upper St. Clair.
