A woman, who had been charged with animal cruelty when four dogs were found dead in her Beechview home in May 2015, has been sentenced. WPXI reports Taura Krill-McCormick, 26, has been sentenced to 20 months of house arrest and an additional 100 months of probation.
McCormick plead guilty to animal cruelty charges soon after being charged last year.

Police found four dogs dead inside her home while investigating a foul odor coming from the house. The dogs were two pit bulls, a terrier mix and a Rottweiler.
One other pit bull was found emaciated, but survived.
McCormick initially told investigators she left her dogs and moved out of her house when it was facing foreclosure. She did eventually return to care for the dogs briefly until stopping in April 2015.
