Woman who allegedly planned boyfriend's kidnapping, beating turns herself in

Police say a woman that planned the kidnapping and torture of her boyfriend turned herself in.

Karrie Diaz, 42, of McCandless was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, conspiracy, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment, reports WPXI.

The victim told police he was knocked unconscious on Cedar Avenue and then woke up tied to a chair in his own home.

He said he recognized Diaz’s voice, his girlfriend, saying several times, “You’re going to have to kill him.”

Diaz’s brother Joshua Flick and Justin Keller reportedly would beat the victim on his bed until he was unconscious.  The victim told police that the alleged abuse went on for a week.

According to WPXI, the man convinced Flick and Keller to take him to a hospital after an escape attempt.  Flick told hospital staff that the victim was jumped by five men.

The victim told police that he  has a $400,000 life insurance policy and Diaz is the beneficiary.

Flick and Keller are facing the same charges as Diaz, in addition to kidnapping.
