On Opening Day of Major League Baseball, Chicago Cub Anthony Rizzo stepped up to the plate in his home state.
Wearing an MSD ribbon stitched into his jersey, the Parkland native and Marjory Stoneman Douglas grad hammered the ball into the stands at Marlins Park. The crowd erupted.
Rizzo has been raising money for the students of MSD since the tragic Valentine’s Day school shooting.

Rizzo wasn’t the only Cub bringing the magic. Teammate Ian Happ blasted the very first pitch.
